Available for potable water applications, the PEX-B pipe is offered in red, white, and blue coils and sticks, up to 1” in size. Additionally, Jones Stephens offers a full range of F1807 brass and F2159 poly crimp fittings, up to 1” in size. Jones Stephens PEX-B pipe meets all industry standards and compliance, including ASTM F876 and F877 and NSF/ANSI 14, 61, and 372. CPVC drop ear elbows
Matco-Norca is expanding its product line with 3/4'' CPVC x Stainless Steel and CPVC x Brass Drop Ear Elbows. These fittings are used for residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The one-piece design eliminates the need for union tail-piece connections, reducing potential leak paths. They are pressure-rated to 100 psi at 180° F and 150 psi at 100° F.

Thermal bypass valve with pressure relief
The TBV-PR integrates temperature control and pressure relief into one valve. It is engineered to safeguard equipment from damage caused by excessive pressure while maintaining optimal operating temperatures. Integrating pressure relief override into a thermostatic valve, the TBV-PR delivers unmatched efficiency and reliability using ThermOmegaTech's thermal actuator technology. The thermal actuator controls flow throughout the system based on temperature changes, while the pressure relief safety feature protects the system from excessive pressure buildup. When pressure exceeds a predetermined threshold, the valve automatically opens, sending flow through the bypass to restore safe operating conditions. The TBV-PR is designed for seamless integration into a 4-way manifold to control flow based on fluid temperature.

Transition couplings
Viega’new line of MegaPress Transition Couplings can be used to transition between galvanized or carbon steel pipe and copper, PEX or stainless steel in seconds. Viega is the first press fitting manufacturer to offer a press coupling of this kind that can be used in commercial, residential and industrial applications, the company says. Viega will offer three products available in 1/2” to 2” sizes:
MegaPress ZL Bronze IPS to CTS Transition Coupling (Model: 4813.4ZL) is ideal for transitioning between IPS and CTS piping systems, including PEX and MegaPress ZL Bronze IPS Transition Coupling (Model(s): 4815ZL and 5915ZL) are ideal for joining carbon steel to stainless steel or galvanized steel to stainless steel. All of the Viega MegaPress Transition couplings are made of zero-lead (ZL) bronze that can be used to connect dissimilar metals while reducing the risk of galvanic corrosion. The MegaPress Transition Couplings also feature Smart Connect technology to quickly detect and resolve unpressed connections. Products will be available for order in late fall 2024.

The new design of the 900XL3 provides faster installation and easier maintenance. Fast-test test cocks are positioned along the centerline for seamless accessibility and minimized space restrictions. The 900XL3 series also features modular cartridge internals and a single, top-access check cover for quicker and easier access when performing maintenance and repairs. The 900XL3 series is designed for residential or commercial applications. Available as a double check assembly (950XL3) in sizes from 3/4” to 2” or a reduced pressure principle (975XL3) in sizes from 1/2” to 2”, it is a great choice for any retrofit or new construction needs. Its all-bronze construction proves durable and long-lasting, even in harsh-environment tests.
