Point-of-Use electric tankless water heater
The new Point-Of-Use (POU) Electric Tankless Water Heater features a reduced, compact footprint, making it easy to install at or near fixtures in light commercial and residential applications. The POU tankless water heater does not require venting, making it an ideal fit for a variety of applications that need immediate hot water on site, including lavatories, isolated sinks, emergency fixtures, boosters and more. The unit is also equipped with continuous dry fire protection, which prevents it from firing without water in the system. This protects the unit and eliminates having to replace it before it has ever been used as a result of dry firing. To further the life of the unit, the POU tankless features leak detection with an audible alarm to alert users to any leakage concerns. The unit also comes with integrated scale detection technology that has the potential to extend the lifetime of the unit. The software detects scale buildup in the unit and forces it to shut down, allowing for proper maintenance to be performed and protecting the unit from total failure.

American Standard Water Heaters
Residential heat pump water heater
The Hybrid Builder Heat Pump residential water heater is available in 40-, 50-, 65- and 80-gallon capacities in 208V or 240V single phase. The unit features I-Memory, a self-learning habit algorithm which will ensure homeowners have hot water when they need it and save energy when they don’t. It also features integrated Wi-Fi and a Comfort Link App that connects to a local internet network to remotely monitor and control the water heater through a free mobile app. The Hybrid Builder Heat Pump has five operation modes to suit different water heating demands. The Comfort mode is the default factory setting. Green, Fast, Electric and Vacation are other modes that provide premium flexibility. A boost function allows for a single heat-up cycle, using the heat pump and elements to decrease recovery time. The unit includes a user-friendly LCD display, is Ecoport certified, and includes a full-flow brass drain valve for quick and easy drainage and a factory-installed temperature and pressure relief valve. Dual backup incoloy heating elements add reliability. The unit comes with a 10-year limited warranty on tank and component parts.

Armstrong Fluid Technology
Compact, low-carbon dual pump
Armstrong has introduced new, larger sizes of the Design Envelope Tango, a compact, low-carbon dual pump that ensures uninterrupted service, even during maintenance. The Design Envelope Tango includes two motors and two impeller assemblies in a single casing. Integrated valves can isolate one side of the pump for service, without interrupting flow or affecting occupant comfort. New sizes are now available with motors ranging from 15 to 40 horsepower and are capable of serving applications up to 2,000 gpm or 160 feet of pressure. Design Envelope Tango is a compact solution that reduces installation costs. Because the two rotating devices share a single casing, installation requires less piping. In addition, the Vertical In-Line orientation means the pump is installed in the piping and does not require an inertia base. The value of Design Envelope pumps is augmented by Pump Manager, a cloud-based service that provides smart analytics, diagnostics, and alerts to support HVAC system efficiency and extend product life. All Armstrong 360 Service and Support programs optimize the lifetime performance of HVAC systems.

WarmlyYours
Electric floor heating cable
The TempZone Floor Heating Ruler Cable is an electric radiant heating cable that come with hash marks at every half-inch, inch, and foot increment. According to the company, this design, along with a free SmartPlan installation plan from WarmlyYours, will ensure the installer is using the proper amount of cable while they’re laying it out along with making sure the heating elements are in the proper location. This will help guarantee a smooth installation of the floor heating system and even heating coverage for the end user. The ruler cable is meant to be embedded in thinset or self-leveling compound beneath a wide range of floor coverings like tile, marble, stone, LVT, and more. The cable provides 3.7 watts per linear foot (9-15 watts per square foot, depending on spacing). Additionally, the elements of the cable are constructed in such a way that the cable has flexibility in nearly all directions. It can be installed in two different ways: with GripStrip fixing strips or with an uncoupling membrane like the Prodeso Membrane. The GripStrips are complimentary and are the most economical option for installation. Using an uncoupling membrane provides benefits like speed of installation and crack isolation.

WaterFurnace
Heat pump chiller
The new TruClimate 900 Heat Pump Chiller features a variable speed compressor with WaterFurnace’s OptiHeat technology and can operate as a hot water or chiller water system or a simultaneous heating and cooling source. Unlike traditional chillers that are either dedicated to heating or cooling, the TruClimate 900 delivers 44° F chilled water and 140° hot water simultaneously from a single chiller – saving money and freeing up square footage in or on your building. The WaterFurnace TruClimate 900 makes it possible to retrofit current setups with an electric solution that minimizes carbon footprints, add on to current setups for a hybrid plan, or create an entirely new heating and cooling solution altogether. Available in 30-ton sizes, up to 10 units can be banked to achieve a total capacity of up to 300 tons. The TruClimate 900 provides 100% heating capacity down to 5° while producing 140° water. It shines in extreme conditions, offering the capability of continuous operation at temperatures as low as negative 25°. And for unmatched frost mitigation, the innovative OptiHeat technology enables each unit to stay online 44% longer than traditional chillers.

Watts Water Technologies
Wi-Fi freeze alert kits
Watts announced new Smart & Connected Wi-Fi Freeze Alert kits for backflow preventers or any other equipment that is at risk of freezing. Users can now receive alerts via Wi-Fi or connect to irrigation controllers with temperature inputs, as well as building management systems (BMS), using the built-in switched output. The kits are ready to connect to previously installed Watts or FEBCO pressure vacuum breakers and double-check valve backflow preventers with existing temperature sensors, or any other backflow preventers using the included sensors. The standalone sensors are designed to monitor temperature variations and send alerts through Wi-Fi when specific freeze conditions are met. They offers simple connectivity using the switched output, eliminating the need for any communication protocol for BMS. Users can receive alerts via email, text, and voicemail through the Watts cloud without any additional fees. These sensors are suitable for a variety of applications, including irrigation, fire line, and industrial uses. To learn more, visit watts.com/freeze-detection.
