How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?

MP: I have been in the trade industry for 14 years

What drew you into the industry?

MP: My father inspired me to join the industry, and subsequently supported me in taking over our family plumbing business as a second-generation owner.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?

MP: I find it extremely rewarding to see all my employees grow in their careers and family lives. We really focus on teamwork and family values as the core of our company culture.

What motivates you every day?

MP: My goal to always provide a higher level of service to our clients and the best work environment for our employees helps motivate me to do better every day.

What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?

MP: The PHCP industry is a respectable career path for anyone looking to join. The term “blue collar” to me equals, no debt, high earnings and job security.

What has been the proudest moment in your career so far?

MP: When my father came to work on his final day at The Family Plumber to speak to our employees explaining his retirement. He included a heartfelt acknowledgment of the hard work I had taken to that point to grow the company and told everyone that the future is bright. That was one of the proudest moments in my career so far.

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

MP: Most people don’t know I love to surf and have traveled the world looking for great waves.
