Next Gen All Star: Tucker Baney
Age: 28
Company: Plumb Hero
Title: Plumbing Supervisor

How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?
TB: Five years.
What drew you into the industry?
TB: I really didn’t have a career path, until I got a job while in college, as a laborer for a construction company, I realized I loved working with my hands and the satisfaction of fixing and building things. As well as, my dad is a mechanic and I always loved working with him on cars when I was younger and that influenced me to work a blue collar job as well.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?
TB: Service plumbing is very rewarding. A lot of customers have a very serious or very inconvenient issue that I am able to fix and that feels great. Helping people get Hot water, stop a leak or have a functioning drainage system is very rewarding
What motivates you every day?
TB: God motivates me to serve the people around me. And my two beautiful daughters and my beautiful wife all give me my purpose and drive to work hard and provide for them no matter what it takes.
What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?
TB: It's an extremely viable career path. Less and less people are getting into the industry, which is driving the value of those in the industry, up. You can make a great living, and have a valuable skill that can help serve the people in your life. It’s a very rewarding job and it’s not all dirty and doesn’t have to be a “disgusting” job haha.
What has been the proudest moment in your career so far?
TB: By the time this goes out I will be a licensed plumber in the state of North Carolina and that will be my proudest moment.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
TB: I love the outdoors. I grew up in the mountains and love to mountain bike, hike, snowboard, trail run and rock climb. I also love video games
