Next Gen All Star: Levi Thompson
Age: 35
Company: Gleason Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric
Title: Plumbing division manager
How long have you been in the PHCP-PVF industry?
LT: I have been in the mechanical trades for 17 years. First as an HVAC installer, then as a plumber for the last 10 years.
What drew you into the industry?
LT: As a young man, I was sort of infatuated with people that knew how to do things, and how to fix things.
What is the most rewarding aspect of working in the industry?
LT: Passing it all on to the next person. I wouldn’t know anything if good people didn’t teach me. The most rewarding experience is seeing individuals develop their skill sets and knowledge. Their success is my reward now.
What motivates you every day?
LT: The people I serve, the professionals that I curate.
What is one thing you wish more people knew/understood about the PHCP-PVF industry?
LT: These are thankless jobs most times. But without them, we would live in the Third-World.
What has been the proudest moment in your career so far?
LT: Seeing the success of the guys that work with me. Watching their families grow, and their lifestyles improve as they become professionals. Especially the young, hungry people.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
LT: I’m actually an introvert. In sales.
