Berner International
Architectural collection air curtains
Berner International introduces the Architectural Icon 8 and Icon 10 to its Architectural Collection of air curtains. The Icon 8 (1/5-hp) and Icon 10 (1/2-hp) PSC motors combine with other air movement components and a refreshed cabinet design to deliver a lower operating sound for a 10-speed air curtain. EC motors (1/5 and 1/2-hp) are optional and equally quiet. The Architectural Icon 8 (8-1/4 (h) x 20 (d)" and Icon 10 (12-3/4 (h) x 25-1/2 (d)" air curtains are available from 3- to 10-feet and 3- to 12-feet lengths, respectively. The air curtain is programmed and operated through Berner’s factory-installed Intelliswitch digital control platform. The Intelliswitch features pre-set programs, a time clock, time delay, built-in thermostat, 10-speed fan control, and other integrated, end-user customizable features.

Chemical-free water treatment systems
Pulse-Pure — a physical water treatment technology — provides a complete water treatment system for evaporative cooling equipment.This environmentally responsible alternative utilizes pulsed electric fields to control microbiological growth, scale and corrosion. Recirculating water from evaporative cooling systems passes through the Pulse-chamber where it’s exposed to alternating high frequency electric fields. These pulsed electric fields impact both the surface charge of small suspended particles and free floating microbial organisms found in cooling water. Pulse-Pure solves all three critical challenges of water cooled systems; scaling, biological contaminates, and corrosion. EVAPCO offers both factory- and field-mounted Pulse-Pure water treatment systems. The technology fully eliminates the expense and drawbacks of chemicals, allowing owners to run at higher cycles of concentration, further reducing water consumption.

Commercial heat pump water heater
The Veritus Heat Pump Water Heater (HPWH) serves as a sustainable option providing energy savings and reliable domestic hot water for a wide variety of commercial applications. ECM pumps, fans and a scroll compressor work together to enable Veritus to operate with a high COP, optimize heat transfer and minimize emissions. To provide improved installation flexibility, Veritus heat pumps are modular, meaning units can be manifolded together — ensuring ample hot water supply, built-in redundancy and capacity matching for larger commercial water heater demands. The Veritus utilizes a low GWP refrigerant (R513A). When paired with Lochinvar’s Thermal-Stor storage tank, the tank’s patent-pending baffle ensures the system performs optimally by controlling the stratification of hot water as it’s stored, enhancing overall system performance.

UV disinfection system
Lync’s UV-H is an eco-friendly UV disinfection system for a variety of applications, including potable water. The low-maintenance system is configurable up to 100 gpm and mitigates risks associated with microbiological contamination and biofilm formation in low- and high-flow commercial water heating and piping systems and protect building occupants. It inactivates 99.9999% (6-log) of Legionella bacteria to effectively address concerns related to occupant health and system metallurgy. The systems are certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 & NSF/ANSI 372 and are available for potable, reuse or wastewater applications. A chemical-free solution, Lync UV-H effectively treats inlet water through a 360° UV light emission provided by Crossfire Technology and a two-lamp design. The reactor design reduces the possibility for microorganisms to be blocked from the UV light by particles.

Lead-free balancing valve solution
Watts has introduced the LF iDROSET CSD, a lead-free static, efficient, balancing valve solution for use in potable hot water systems and recirculation loops. The LF iDROSET’s dial makes balancing simple and easy by providing a way to view flow rate directly on the valve and make tool-free adjustments as needed. No external measuring device is needed. The product features a large, easy-to-read gauge, rotating hand wheel that sets flow rate, and a 1/4” port for adding accessories. Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 - Drinking Water System Components, the LF iDROSET CSD is available in sizes 1/2”, 3/4” and 1” and is valve calibrated by factory to +/- 10% accuracy.
