Aalberts
PowerPress piping system
Aalberts integrated piping systems (IPS) announced the launch of "Apollo" PowerPress options in large diameter (LD). Key features of the "Apollo" PowerPress LD that benefit the plumbing market include HNBR or EPDM sealing elements enhanced with zinc-nickel coatings, delivering corrosion resistance and reliable, long-lasting seals. These elements are especially well-suited for plumbing applications such as general water distribution, hydronic heating and cooling, and process and utility water systems commonly found in commercial and multi-family residential projects. The system incorporates the Leak Before Press technology, preventing unpressed connections from holding pressure and thus enhancing installation integrity and safety.

Ariston USA
Hybrid heat pump water heater
Ariston USA introduced the Nuos Side-Connect and Nuos Multi-Fit Hybrid Heat Pump water heaters. Units are available in 40-, 50-, 65- and 80-gallon models. They offer up to 80 percent energy savings vs. traditional water heaters, with a UEF (Uniform Energy Factor) of up to 4.10 and an FHR (First Hour Rating) of up to 88-gallons, the company says. Integrated Wi-Fi and the Ariston Net app connect to a local network to remotely monitor and control the water heater. A boost function allows for shorter recovery time using both the heat pump ground and the heating elements simultaneously. Other features include: built-in leak detection, HMI interface and LCD display, dual anode performance, full flow brass drain valve, temperature and pressure relief valve, demand response and ToU ready and quiet operation.

Franklin Electric Co.
Industrial pumps
Franklin Electric Co.’s brand Pioneer Pump announced the launch of a new line of industrial pumps certified to meet the NSF/ANSI 61 standard. Each pump is fully compliant with NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 standards, ensuring safe use in drinking water systems. With a compact, close-coupled design, these pumps are ideal for installations where space is limited. All units are assembled and shipped from U.S.-based facilities, ensuring fast and dependable delivery. The new offering includes a wide range of pump configurations with flow capabilities from 65 to 6,000 gallons per minute (GPM) and pressures up to 840 feet of head. Available in electric-driven, diesel-driven, or bare pump options, the line is engineered to support everything from compact pump stations to large-scale municipal booster systems.

Superior Boiler
Condensing boiler
Superior Boiler has expanded its condensing product line with the launch of the Saponi, a large-capacity watertube condensing hot water boiler available in 20, 25 and 30 MMBtu/hr sizes. Built with Superior’s patented DFW technology, the Saponi delivers exceptional efficiency, durability and installation flexibility for large-scale heating applications, the company states. This demand became clear from the success of Superior’s Cheyenne condensing boilers, which have been specified for large-scale projects such as a recent airport installation that included 15 units at 10 MMBtu/hr each. Many other projects require at least 50 MMBtu/hr, requiring multiple Superior Cheyenne condensing units.

Weil-McLain
B100 compatible residential oil boilers
Weil-McLain announced that its Ultra Oil, WGO, WTGO and SGO residential oil boilers are now certified for use with biofuel blends up to 100% (B100). This achievement has been made possible through collaboration with industry leaders R.W. Beckett and Carlin Combustion, as Weil-McLain validates the adaptability of their burners to the elevated blend of biofuel when combined with its popular oil-fired boiler product lines. A B100 compatible boiler is one that operates with a fuel blend consisting of 100% biodiesel. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel made from organic materials such as plant and vegetable oils, animal fats and used cooking oils.
