Now, A. O. Smith is introducing this technology to its non-condensing concentric vent tankless water heaters, offering residential contractors top-of-the-line technology in a lower-cost unit, the company says. Designed to meet the unique needs of industry professionals, the product simplifies installations thanks to contractor-preferred concentric venting. The unit accommodates long venting runs and features quick natural-gas-to-propane field convertibility for added flexibility.

The hand-held Power-Vee drain cleaner with automatic feed makes clearing small drain lines fast and easy, the company says. Rugged, reliable Power-Vee unclogs sinks, tubs and laundry drains from 1-1/4” to 3” in diameter, up to 50 feet long. General’s automatic feed quickly adjusts to Flexicore cable diameters from 1/4” to 3/8” without special tools or additional parts. The compact Power-Vee features quick-change cable cartridges for fast cable changing or cleaning. And the Dyna-Thrust bearing system helps extend tool life by reducing bearing wear. General’s optional Handy-Stand turns Power-Vee into a practical countertop or floor machine. The ergonomically balanced Handy-Stand enhances the drain cleaner’s versatility, safety and stability. Noritz America maximizes ease of installation with its new No Roof Kit. With this accessory, premix burner Noritz tankless water heaters can be installed without the installer setting foot on the roof, offering time-, labor-, and cost-savings in residential applications. Not only does the No Roof Kit eliminate the contractor’s need to climb on the roof to install venting for the tankless water heater, but drilling holes in the wall for exhaust is also no longer needed. Best suited for single-story homes and attic installs, the No Roof Kit includes three, 36-inch polypropylene (PP) pipes and a PP-PVC adaptor, a 2-inch single vent (SV) conversion kit, and a diffuser kit. To use the kit, a pre-existing, 3- or 4-inch circular B-vent, no longer than 8.5 feet, with a straight vertical shot from the ceiling to the roof, is required.

NIBCO announced enhancements to the Webstone line of water heater solutions, a series of valves designed to simplify the installation of storage tank water heaters. Developments include new features for the patent-pending Pro-Pal Water Heater Supply Valves to offer brass union or dielectric union water heater connections, 1/2" sizes, and an integration of a 1/2" cold-water tapping port. Additionally, the line of Pro-Pal Water Heater Service Valve Kits has expanded to include new connection options and tempering valve kits, which take advantage of the newly integrated access point.
