Daikin Applied announced upgrades the 100%-configurable Pathfinder air-cooled screw chiller, including a higher efficiency compressor, factory-installed pump packages and ECM condenser fan motor options. Customers can choose to switch from induction motors, the standard option, to electronically commutated motors (ECMs) for free-cooling units, allowing for better part-load efficiency and integrated part-load value (IPLV).

The GS and GR tankless water heater models feature cascading and common venting; variable heat control, adjustable from 95° to 140°; and bottom water connections. Both models boast a wide array of features to increase efficiency and make service and maintenance more convenient, with the GR adding an integrated recirculation pump with dedicated connection and the GS featuring a high temperature setting of 180° for commercial use.

The Glycol Make-up Unit GF60 (GMU) automated 110V diaphragm pump with digital control is designed to maintain critical minimum pressure levels to make up for losses that may occur due to leakage. The automated system operates as needed to add water or water-glycol solution to a closed -loop heating, chilled water, process, snowmelt or radiant heat system. The unit can handle output pressures from 7.5 to 70 psi and has a self-priming pump.

The Voltex AL (anti-leak) hybrid electric heat pump water heater features integrated leak detection, smart connectivity, updated water connections for professionals and the highest overall Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 4.02 with the 66-gal. unit and the highest 50-gal. UEF at 3.8, the company says. It is also available in an 80-gal. model. The unit can save homeowners up to $521 per year on utility bills when compared to a standard electric water heater.

Uponor North America’s new hot potable pipe and fittings help meet the demand for commercial domestic water systems, the company says. Uponor began offering PP-RCT pipe and fittings in 2020 with more than 300 parts for mechanical piping in sizes from 1/2” to 12″ and cold potable piping in sizes from 1/2” to 8″. Now, with the addition of hot potable piping in sizes from 1/2” to 8″, Uponor has a comprehensive offering for mechanical and potable applications.

The new 3/8” compression thermostatic mixing valve features solid, low-lead brass construction and integral check valves to prevent backflow and crossflow. Built with a vandal-resistant locking temperature adjustment knob, the compression thermostatic mixing valve can be ordered with or without a cold-water bypass tee. The tee can also be purchased separately. It meets all U.S. and Canadian certification requirements.

The ZoneBraker touchscreen multi-zone snow melting controller allows for zoned control of a snow melting system, breaking total heating coverage into four separate zones. These zones can then be "turned on" independently, which reduces the total power load. Users can easily set custom operational times for each zone in case an area of the outdoor surface needs to run (ie the bottom of a sloped driveway where accumulated runoff needs a longer runtime).
