Space-saving boiler vent valve
Webstone, a brand of NIBCO, announced a new patent-pending Boiler Vent Valve. This space-saving valve expands the utility of a boiler’s existing 3/4" pressure relief valve (PRV) port, capitalizing on its location at the top of the unit as the ideal placement for an air vent and other accessories. Its automatic air vent can be isolated for service, allowing the PRV (included with the boiler or sold separately) to operate unobstructed. Plugged FIP ports accommodate the installation of a low-water cut-off device and/or pressure gauge if so desired.

CarbonPress fittings
CarbonPress Fittings are suitable for use on steel pipes conforming to ASTM A53, A106, A135, a795 (schedule 10 to 40) or constructed of black iron, epoxy coated or galvanized steel. Made from ASTM A420 carbon steel with a Zn-Ni plating, CarbonPress provides excellent corrosion resistance, strength and ductility, the company says. The fittings are compatible with a wide range of fluids, gases and oils and lubricants making them ideal for use in applications where traditionally joined carbon steel products are specified. Designed to be easy to install, with a patented Visual Indicator Press Ring (VIPR) that is color-coded to the application, the press connection requires no welding or brazing. The fittings are also designed to be compatible with standard industry fittings, making them a drop-in replacement for existing components.

Variable speed cable feed offers raw driving and pulling power for long, tough jobs — feeding and retrieving 3/4”, 5/8” and 1/2” cables. To adjust 3/4” or 5/8” cables, simply turn a knob on top of the feed — no screwdriver required!

PVI, a Watts brand, expands its Centurion family of compact, direct-fired domestic water heaters with the addition of a 1600 MBH model to complement its existing 2000 MBH size. With the new size, plumbing contractors have even more options to right-size their water heating systems, creating additional efficiency benefits to commercial applications. Centurion water heaters deliver up to 99% thermal efficiency and offers O2 Trim, which allows the unit to self-adjust and maintain optimal air/fuel rations for peak efficiency, as well as low emissions and maximum uptime reliability. The compact Centurion occupies up to 65% less footprint than competing models. Its small size allows the water heater to fit through a standard doorway and in most freight elevators.

The new Honeywell Home T10+ Smart Thermostat Kits with RedLINK 3.0 offer additional control over three types of indoor air quality (IAQ) equipment simultaneously. Resideo's proprietary RedLINK 3.0 technology and Equipment Interface Module enable simple set up and a customizable solution for each customer from a single device. The Wireless Outdoor Sensor provides real-time, outdoor temperature and humidity readings to help balance IAQ inside the home while the Return and Supply Air Sensor offers real-time temperature readings in ductwork for equipment protection, and the Floor/Slab Sensor monitors the floor temperature for radiant, in-floor heating applications (sensor not included in the kits).
