Why he’s PM’s Plumber of the Month: “Klajdi is one of our service technicians who spends his day solving problems for customers. He is one of those technicians who goes out of his way to make everyone’s day better, be it resolving issues for a client in the best possible manner or offering a kind word for the team in the office supporting him. Klajdi works around the city of Boston with tricky, old plumbing and drains with a positive attitude and calm approach during whatever issues may be thrown his way.
“He is a problem solver and he goes beyond the call of duty every day. He comes to work every day with a great outlook and spreads that to his clients and coworkers. He does not complain when tough situations are thrown his way, yet he always figures out how to resolve them. Klajdi is the type of person who we should all aspire to be like.
“Klajdi also goes out of his way to educate and teach new people at Boston Standard. We have new employees who join the team right out of trade school, and when they are paired with Klajdi, he takes his role as leader and trainer seriously. He wants to provide these people who are new to the trades and the workforce with the skillset that he has learned over the years, and in doing so, he gives them a jump start on their careers. Taking new hires under his wing is one way he consistently goes out of his way to help coworkers, and in doing so helps them succeed. He will share knowledge on the job, as well as about how to expand with school, training or great books to read.
“Klajdi came to the U.S. from Albania as a teenager, and has made a home and successful life. He embodies the values of our company of integrity, quality, respect and outstanding service every day. Through all of this, he also embodies the ‘American Dream’ that we all aspire to — the ability to control your own destiny through hard work and a great attitude.”

Stasa’s thoughts: “I grew up learning plumbing from my father; he ran his own plumbing business, and he was also a government plumber fixing hospitals, etc., in Albania. At a young age, I looked at plumbing tools like toys. When I entered high school, I began working with my father part-time and I eventually worked with him full-time when I graduated.
“I came to America in 2010 working different jobs, and I received some bad news that my father became sick with cancer. I made a promise with my father that I would continue his trade here in America, so I went to plumbing school and began working with a master plumber in Brookline, Massachusetts for three-and-a-half years. Then, I began working with Boston Standard Co., and I’ve been here for three years. I love it here. We make a great team.
“What I love most about being a plumber is that I can continue to carry out my promise with my father and enjoy the work that I do every day. I especially love putting a smile on a customer’s face after I fix or update their plumbing in a professional manner.”
