Rigid couplings
ASC Engineered Solutions’ Gruvlok Fig. 74CL and Fig. 74SL rigid couplings are patent-pending grooved mechanical joining solutions designed to improve installation accuracy and efficiency. The couplings provide a visual indicator that confirms proper installation at a glance. This technology also helps reduce the risk of overtightening or bolt overstress. Both couplings ship in a ready-to-install configuration with no loose parts and require no disassembly. Zinc/aluminum coated hardware provides corrosion protection that outlasts 316 stainless steel.

Heavy-duty closet auger
General Pipe Cleaners’ Teletube Flexicore carries three extra feet of Flexicore cable telescoped inside the guide tube that can be accessed by pushing the button for extra cable length when it is needed. Flexicore is comprised of two layers of tempered spring steel coiled tightly over a core of 49-strand wire rope. The Teletube Closet Auger also features a vinyl bowl guard, vinyl grip handle and turning handle, and a “grip clip” for securing the cable. The optional down head follows bowl contours and springs through sharply angled passages while protecting inner walls from chipping or breaking. An optional Closet Auger bag provides a carrying case that puts an end to dragging dripping closet augers through homes, hospitals and offices, and keeps it contained and out of sight to and from jobs. Three vent holes let the auger dry between tasks, and a thick shoulder strap keeps users’ hands free to carry other tools.

Heat recovery heat pump
LG Electronics launched the LG Multi V i, an all-electric Heat Recovery Heat Pump Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) solution designed to transform commercial spaces in the United States. Iti uses onboard controls to monitor environmental conditions and operational data. It can monitor temperature, occupancy, humidity levels and consumption and sends alerts before thresholds are exceeded to create an optimal indoor climate while managing energy usage. It utilizes low-GWP R-32 refrigerant with a reduced charge. Leveraging its AI capabilities, the product incorporates load and sound-management features that adjust operation based on conditions; typical sound levels range from approximately 50-70 dB(A).

Aalberts integrated piping systems (IPS) announced their “Apollo” butterfly valve LD151, a resilient-seated lug-style butterfly valve designed for dependable shutoff and throttling in demanding HVAC and industrial applications. Featuring a ductile-iron body with a resilient elastomer seat that isolates the body from the process media, the LD151 delivers bubble-tight shutoff and extended seat life while supporting smooth operation through its through-shaft design and multi-point stem support. Typical constructions with aluminum-bronze or stainless-steel discs, combined with installation flexibility via a lug pattern suited for between-flange and end-of-line service, help contractors achieve reliable, space-efficient flow control with straightforward options for manual or automated actuation.

Smart heat pump control system
tekmar, a Watts brand, announced the launch of the new Smart Heat Pump Control System. This controller offers flexibility and efficiency for residential and light commercial applications. The Smart Heat Pump Control System operates up to four heat pumps in either 2-pipe or 4-pipe configurations, with the ability to expand control to 16 heat pumps through optional modules. It supports simultaneous heating and cooling of buffer tanks in 4-pipe systems and integrates with a backup boiler loop using the tekmar Smart Boiler Control 294. Energy management features such as outdoor reset and programmable scheduling further enhance efficiency and reliability.

Metric service wrench
Wright announced the expansion of its service wrench lineup with a brand-new line of metric service wrenches and two new extended SAE sizes. Designed for use in tight spaces and demanding industrial environments, this new offering includes 21 metric sizes, ranging from 19mm to 65mm, and two larger SAE sizes, 2-1/2" and 2-9/16". The new 30-degree angle metric wrenches are engineered for restricted clearances with unyielding strength and durability. Wright’s new metric service wrenches meet and exceed ASME B107 standards. The two additions in the SAE sizes bring that offering to 24 sizes ranging from 3/4" to 2-9/16".
