Aggressive DWV applications have a new solution — Charlotte Pipe Edge HP Iron. The cast-iron plumbing system is specially coated for applications that may need enhanced protection, such as hospitals, commercial kitchens and casinos. It is available in sizes from 2" – 15" and meets or exceeds all coating performance requirements.

Matco-Norca’s stainless steel shielded transition couplings are for use with dissimilar DWV pipe and fittings with an installation torque of 60" lb. The couplings have a maximum test pressure of 4.3 psi and a maximum operating temperature of 180° F. The product conforms with ASTM C1460, ASTM C564, CSA B602, UPC and cUPC. Comes in sizes 1/2" to 8" and clamps are joined with rivets.

PRIER’s new freezeless roof hydrant requires no winterization or drain line, which saves installation time, material, maintenance and labor costs, the company points out. With this product, there is no need to pull heavy hoses up ladders, which cuts down on potential injuries, PRIER notes. The hydrant requires a single penetration in the roof and comes with a sturdy bracket that attaches to any structural member with rigid support, PRIER adds.

Uponor PP-RCT is a polypropylene pipe that is a lightweight, durable product that resists corrosion, rust and scale buildup, making it ideal for mechanical HVAC piping applications, such as hydronic heating, hot water and chilled water, the company points out. It provides elevated temperature and pressure ratings compared to PP-R piping products, allowing for use in a wider range of hydronic distribution applications, Uponor adds.

Viega’s new 3-piece ball valves for its MegaPress carbon and stainless steel pipe pressing systems are approved for all MegaPress applications, excluding natural gas. Available in 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2" and 2" sizes, and in multiple materials for specific applications. The carbon steel valve is available with EPDM and FKM sealing elements.

Watts iDROSET calibrated flow measuring and balancing valves offer integrated flow measurement technology, a large dial for direct reading of flow, hand wheel for setting flow rate without the need for tools, and positive shut-off ball valve. iDROSET valves are 100% factory tested and calibrated, and have a balancing turndown ratio of up to 25:1.
