Lime-Set is a new product designed to save mechanical contractors time and money, the company syas. With its simple two-piece patented system, it is quick and easy to use. Simply place the Lime-Set base plate under the floor drain/cleanout, tighten the floor drain/cleanout to hold the base plate in place and put the Lime-Set cover on. Note: This piece can be trimmed to the desired height prior to pouring concrete. Once the concrete is poured, the floor drain/cleanout can easily be found with its lime green exterior. When the flooring contractor comes to install flooring, simply cut the Lime-Set cover, discard and thread the floor drain/cleanout up to match the finished flooring height. No more chipping, grinding or buffing. The floor drain/cleanout is protected and in pristine condition with this simple and economical solution. Lime-Set is available at select plumbing wholesalers.

FlexShaft drain cleaning machine
The K9-12 FlexShaft Drain Cleaning Machine is the smallest of the line of FlexShaft machines and perfect for residential use, eliminating the need to repeatedly unclog the same household drain lines. Clearing up to 30’ of 1 1/4-to 2” pipe, the K9-12 breaks up grease, hair and other soft blockages, making it ideal for kitchen and bath sinks, as well as tubs and shower drains. Powered by an 1800 to 2500 RPM cordless drill, the machine’s chain knocker expands inside the pipe to quickly clear the blockage and restore the pipe to full flow. A flexible, protective sheath encapsulates the cable, keeping it fully enclosed for less mess and faster cleanup. The built-in clutch design also extends the cable life.

Triton units feature LeakGuard and LeakSense, an all-inclusive leak detection and prevention system with a proprietary auto shut-off valve limiting leakage to no more than 24 ounces of water and providing real-time leak notifications; multiple water connects on the top, back and front of the unit, along with flexible venting to simplify installation; and a patented heat exchanger design and advanced power anodes to extend the unit’s life. Domestic water booster systems
Taco’s fully-integrated domestic water booster systems are the ideal pressure-boosting solution for multi-residential and commercial buildings, the company says. Each system comes with a range of features and benefits, including an integral controller in every drive that offers complete built-in redundancy and minimizes downtime. A grooved pipe coupling between the pump and header permits greater design flexibility and minimizes installation and maintenance time. Also, an electrical mechanical disconnect allows isolation of an individual pump and drive, enabling the system to continue to run while maintenance is performed. Every Taco Booster Package comes with Taco’s TSL (Taco Smart Logic) Constant Pressure programming. Available in Simplex, Duplex, Triplex or Quadraplex configurations, these booster packages offer capacities between 125 to 2,000 gpm.

Ligature-resistant floor drains and shower channels
Watts ligature-resistant floor drains and waterline shower channels all have strainers that are compliant with ligature-resistant requirements, particularly in mental health facilities. Watts FD-1100-A-LR and FD-1100-M-LR ligature-resistant floor drains — constructed with a durable epoxy-coated cast iron drain body (or cast stainless-steel upon request) and anchor flange — are now offering fabricated stainless-steel ligature-resistant strainers with vandal-proof screws. These strainers can also easily be retrofitted to existing Watts FD-Series drains. Ligature-resistant strainers are available as round or square in 5, 6, and 8” sizes. Watts WSC-300-LR waterline shower channels have a ligature-resistant drain body and grate. Constructed of AISI Type 304 stainless steel and available in a range of lengths – 12, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48 and 60”. Center outlets are standard with end outlets also available.
